RE: charge
ok so its not dying to fast it just hasnt reached its "happy place" yet. makes since, im used to the lithium in my rc car not dropping like that.....
BTW i am VERY happy with this 7cap. i havent gotten to use it yet, but it is an extremely nice radio. much better than the little cheapo' i used on the parkflyer foamie i had(wich met a fence post....very messy). only problem is i have no idea what im doing with it except adjusting trims out......had to do that to get my throttle servo to stop jittering. i should make m first flight (if the confounded wind will die) in about two hours WHOOP!!! |
RE: charge
NiCads and Lipo batteries do not behave the same..
Good luck on the first flight. Go gradual on all of the fancy stuff in the 7c. First rule of flying any plane (full scale or model): fly the plane and worry about the gimmicks and problems later. Basically that means if the plane is way out of trim, just manhandle it until you are in a safe position (altitude and speed) and THEN worry about trimming it. It doesn't do any good to be distracted by a problem and crash when you should just keep the plane in the air. |
RE: charge
I also have the 7c radio altough I never used it yet I two like this radio very nice.
|
RE: charge
I also added a 1450 Mah Nimh battery pack and I bench tested the on time and found I could run the transmitter for 6 hours apsolute max . more time then I will ever need for a weekend of flying.

RE: charge
well i didnt get to fly :(. seems i missed a break in a joint on my horizontal stab when i was repairing it. i had to cut the el cheapo sticker covering(old vinyl stick on covering..... im considering recovering the whole thing next weekend) and reglue two but joints. hopefuly either this weekend or tuesday ill get to fly. we did get my radio set up( to an extent...) and run the engine in.
The only frills im using on the radio is the throttle cut out. that was something my instructor setup. i didnt even know it would do it....thought it was pretty cool though :) |
RE: charge
Throttle cut off switch is really nice when you have digital trim. Wasn't a big deal with the old mechanical trims.
