first solo

i ahve been training for about 2 months now. two weeks ago i tried to do my first take off and all went well. this past sunday was the first ime i powerd down to see how the plane handled in a glide . it felt real good so my instructor told me to line it up with the runway to see if i could keep it coming straight. after about four times coming in low in a glide i just decided to bring it on in

well she touched the ground and rolled to a stop. this is one of the best fealings a guy could get . i had a smile from ear to ear for 30 minutes. i even called a few of the other guys that have been helpin me out and told them about my solo and 3 of them came down to see me do it again

wel all in all i did 8 solo flights sunday and the only thing i broke was a landing gear strap because of a little hard landing

i cant wait to do it a gain

I just recently did this myself... it IS an awesome feeling. I'm still not over it!

I even crashed this past Monday, and I'm still looking forward to flying again. :D

Congrats...actually your name fits rather well. :D

It describes me as soon as I wake up in the morning, go to work then see it's gorgeous outside. Talk about thinking that work really cuts into my flying time [&:]

It is a definate rush when you can sucecssfully takeof, fly around, and land with no damage, or none visable at least. my first successful landing, was almost at 80mph, my trainer, was in a full dive, due toa radio malfunction, as soon as the plane go back in range, i pulled up, and missed the road by about 1 inch or so, so afraid that the radio was gonna poop out again, i set the plane down, the plane kep rolling, so loong that i hoped in my dads truck, and drove to it, luckily enough, just as i got to it, i ran out of fuel, so i just threw it in the bed and drove back. I replacved my radio battery, and went back up, for another flight, the landing for it was perfect, smooth as silk on a windy day, not even a bounce. But as Terry (redback) says, "welcome to the addiction" this is something you wont get over for a long time.
