Next park flyer
 

New to RC models, but seem to be developing 'adequate' skills. Have flown and landed a Telemaster 40 a time or two, with no problems.

First plane was an EFlite Tribute 3D foamy...probably not the greatest plane to learn on, but it's inexpensive and easily repairable, and it taught me a BUNCH. :)

Don't really have the chance to fly a gas plane as often as I'd like...so I'd like an electric I can fly in a ball field...but something a bit sturdier than a foamy.

I have the 370 motor, 6.6:1 gearbox, and 12x6 prop that came with the tribute, as well as micro servos, motor controller, 2 cell LiPol battery, radio, etc etc...in short, I'm just plane hunting.

Can anyone reccomend a decent electric park flyer (with ailerons, please) that could be flown on the equipment above? I'm not terribly concerned with aerobatics (simple loops or aileron rolls are fun, but not what I'm focused on), or high speed...just a model that's enjoyable to fly, and can be flown in smaller spaces.

Kit, ARF, or RTF are all acceptable. I'd like to keep the expense for the model itself to $100 or less.

www.slofly.com has some nice planes for good price
I'd suggest getting a brushless setup!

Thanks for the link, Brandon...but as I said in the original post, I'm not looking for a list of planes (or another foamy), but a reccomendation on a park flyer that could be flown with the equipment mentioned above.

Go to the electric forums under park flyers,, what you want is a plane from mountain models dot com...not sure of the actual link ,,but they are balsa frame-you cover electrics,,very highly recommended,,I have no experience with one but they are spoken of highly...ask someone there for the link or do a search for it...Rog

Your welcome gb, when I started "back" in the hobby a few years back, I was restricted to the local schoolyard on saturday mornings,,so I went the GWS route and have always recommended them , I think they have great products ,but I was waiting until I could get into glow..in the meantime I had read lots of posts of Mountain models,,if I were into electrics ,,thats the way I'd go now,,the switchback (I think it is] is a very popular model..HTHs...Rog
