Expanded scale voltmeter
I have a hanger 9 expanded scale voltmeter when i test abattery on it reads as if the battery is charged...however when i use another meter on it or a multimeter it reads less than what i had on the hanger 9. does the hanger 9 put the batery under a load, or is there something i need to adjust on it?

RE: Expanded scale voltmeter
I just picked up a H9 ESV myself. It's odd that you would get a lower reading with a multimeter as the ESV *does* load the battery, which should make it's reading lower than the multimeter's reading. Just to test the accuracy, I plugged my freshly charged receiver pack into the ESV and got a reading of 5.4V. While still plugged into the ESV, I put the probes of my Fluke meter across the ESV probes and got 5.4V as well. At least mine is accurate then. Cary |

RE: Expanded scale voltmeter
Seems that there was a post where the H9 was off a bit back. Search for Calibrate your voltemeter..
GREAT POST CARY! |
RE: Expanded scale voltmeter
Either or both meters may be off and need to be calibrated. Check both from a known source, like a bench power supply with an integral meter of its own.
