Hi,
Has anyone got any goods ideas how to make a home made engine test bed for a mixture of engines say 25 to 61

Yes. Buy a commercially made engine test stand and mount it on a piece of plywood with short legs that can be anchored into the ground. Make a tie-down for the fuel tank and a support for the throttle linkage. Mine has lasted over 20 years.
