Engine Thrust

Hi,

A pretty nasty crash left my tower trainer in pieces. I've just about got it together and had to build a new firewall from scratch. I installed it in the position I thought the old one was in but the engine mount is a couple degrees to the left (that's a wag) and just does not look right. This was an ARF so I have no plans to go from. I've just bought an incidence meter and I'm dying to try it out. Can anyone tell me what should be a good thrust angle right to left? Is dead on straight ahead okay?

Thanks,

Kevin

I've never seen a thrust to the left.my .02 would be 2 degrees right and 2 degrees down, usually after test flying a new trainer this is the incidence we install, unless incidence was built in,this is a good starting point.
Have a goodun,John.

John is right on! Left thrust is a no-no, I build in right thrust on any high wing and add it to some of the low wing planes after the first flight. Most trainers benefit from some down thrust as well.

Sounds good to me. I knew that thrust to the left just looked wrong.

Thanks
