I think you meant "Which is Better".....

Over the years, I've flown planes from at least 7 of the categories. I have a hard time saying which is "better". It largely depends on the mood I'm in at the time I'm heading to the field, or sometimes can even change at the field, that's why I almost always bring at least 2. :D

This is way too relative.

Nah, the [link=http://www.flyingthingz.com/products/wilga.html]witch[/link] is pretty good but the [link=http://www.flyingthingz.com/products/skycutter_green.html]flying lawnmower[/link] is better.

Eh? What are we talking about again?

;)

Don't worry about what people like and what is popular. If you like multi engines and sea planes, then that is what YOU like.

I see you have asked about sims and trainers in previous posts. Get a sim and a trainer. Practice and fly. Move to a second and maybe even a third plane, each a bit hotter than the last. Then look at getting a twinstar (multi engine) or even put floats on your original trainer to get a taste of what a sea plane might be like.

I didn't vote in the poll, like it matters one hoot, but I personally prefer to fly 2M aerobatic planes as I compete in pattern. But I greatly enjoy watching any of the planes you listed fly... even trainers.

Mindwarp... the witch and mower are cool, but those electic foamy boats that run on water, air, land rule. Now if they can get them to submerge and go into orbit, that would be awesome.

OK THANKS I HAVE A TRAINER BUT IT IS NOT PUT TOGETHER YET IT IS THE SIG LT40 I HAVE TO PUT THE RUDDER ON AND THE RADIO IN AND THE MOTOR BUT I HAVE BEEN ON A FLIGHT SIMULATOR AND I CAN MAKE THE PLANE DO WHATEVER I WANT IT TO

I think the BEST thing, is to switch back and forth between the categories. I've done all but the Jets. I like to keep a fleet that is diverse, that way they all seem fresh and challenging.

Just a reminder, I'm sure your caps lock was accidently on. All caps is considered "shouting" which it typically unpolite, not to mention all caps is hard to read.

The LT40 is a good plane. I like your confidence with respect to the sim, but real planes and real weather is different than the sim. In most respects, the sim is easier, so be sure you have help when you fly your trainer. You are off to a good start, and conficence is good, but don't set yourself up for humble pie on your first flight.

King makes a good point. It is common to try a lot of differnet types of planes and types of flying. We each find our own unique enjoyment in the hobby. I know I will always fly aerobatic planes, but I flew a lot of differnet planes before I decided aerobatics is what I wanted to focus on. King finds the diversity a challenge. I find flying precision aerobatics challenge enough, but I'm always willing to try a new ship. Case in point, I flew my first jet last Saturday, and it was a blast.

Hello KillMe39

I don't work for OMP, and I would not mind being part of the OMP Team, they are a whole bunch of nice guys that really enjoy this hobby as much as you and I do.

I'm part owner of FlyingThingZ, and my partner's name is Henry (My Right Wing Man) you could check out the website if you like at www.flyingthingz.com and have fun.

Happy Landing
Spiro

This question has no real answer except for the individual person.

RE: witch is beter

Ahhh... helicopters are much better than any of those stinkin' planes!!! :);):D

But seriously, I like about every type of plane you have listed in the poll... warbirds look cool... jets fly fast... others can do neat tricks... and still others can be flown around for more "relaxing" flights. The best thing is to have a few of each type! Although I doubt I'll afford a turbine anytime soon, and I don't have place to fly seaplanes right now.

BTW, Spiro, your wingman, Henry, is partly responsible for my heli addiction... he answered several newb questions for me when I was first getting into the hobby. Glad to see you guys are doing so well... I assume your association with OMP has helped your business out tremendously.

Hey PKH,

That sure sounds like Henry alright, and that's why he's my partner.... Henry got me hooked on those egg-beaters too (just kidding) and he has taught me to crash heli's with precision:D

OMP have help us out a great deal too.... let's not to forget our Family, friends, RCU, and CUSTOMERS. For the past 16 months it have been a great experience for Henry and I, and I personally would like to thank you guys for your SUPPORT.
