Acrobat glow engine plane?

If so, there are several write-ups on the Midwest Aerobat. Minn Flyer, a moderator here on RCU, did one as did Frank Granelli for the AMA Sport Aviator on-line magazine. Minn's is available here on RCU and Frank's at www.masportaviator.com. Both give it the thumb's up [sm=thumbup.gif] for quality and level of flight this aircraft will give you. AND, it won't break the bank (around $130 or so from www.falcon-trading.com direct purchase on-line.

I have one. I bought it based on both Frank and Minn's writeups. Excellent flyer, easy to build (very straight forward) and, with the OS46ABX as flown in I believe both articles, has plenty of power to do all of at least the sportsman level pattern maneuvers. Since I am only at that level, I know that it will do those maneuvers, but I am sure it will do much more.

I don't have one, and don't know where it fits in the progression from trainer to aerobat, but I've seen quite a few good comments on the GWS Formosa. At <$50, it's not going to cost you an arm or a leg.

The Formosa flies well, but is a bit weak with stock motor & batteries. More go makes it an enjoyable treat in the air & also permits it to fly well with floats.

GWS Formosa is a nice plane ... you can fly her on 3S lipoly but the stock motor may not take it, my 1st Formosa motor burnt, however the 2nd did not. On the stock motor she can even do rolling circles ... I learnt my 1st rolling circle on the Formosa. I later used a Himax 2025 on her turning an 8x6, she was fabulous!!!
