I came across these terms when looking for props. Can anyone explain the difference?

pitch is opposite,most planes use tractor prop,so called because engine is on front of plane and pulling the plane,with engine is mounted facing opposite direction,then need pusher prop.

Tractor props plow your field up, like Unstable said. Pusher props push your plane deeper into the ground when you crash, this is because the aren't the first thing to hit.
