We madeit and DESERT MOUSE found JASON SHULMAN AND RYAN TAYLOR. JASON was in 6th and RYAN was washed out the first day. (TOO BAD) But that's why they call it the TOC....

JASON saw CODY and immediately said HI, You would have thought they were long lost friends. It's really encouraging to the younger guys to see a IDOL figure such as JASON and his friendly courteous attitude, VERY VERY nice young man.

CHIP HYDE was on top of everything, He is flying a 42% ULTIMATE this year,said to be an ARF. This was our first T.O.C. wHICH IS REALLY STUPID, being we live here, Well 65 miles away.

But it's came up when we had other items in the pot so to speak. And They are rumouring that this may in fact be the last one.

I'll check this NO GOOD, digital camera of mine and see if I have any good pictures we can share with you all.

We seen two planes go in. One was one of the contestants, MIKE something or other. The other was a H-9 540 EDGE converted to ELECTRIC.It stalled and FELL out of the air.

Why is this in the Beginner's forum? It'd be topical in the Aerobatics or Clubhouse forums, but it isn't here.

How do you figure that the TOC isn't proper in ANY FORUM???? If it doesn't take a beginner to get interested in AEROBATICS, Then there won't be any more TOC's or THE WORLDS or such, NOW WILL THERE? :confused:

And where DESERT MOUSE is a beginner and one of the worlds best took the time to give him the time of day, I think it's very relevent to the beginners forum. It shows the rest of the beginners that there are accomplished professionals out there that do care about the new guys in the hobby. I guess I don't understand your direction.

I suppose discussions on how to put rivets on a 1/5th scale Mustang would be appropriate here by your logic? We have different forums for a very good reason--so that people looking to discuss certain aspects of the hobby know where to look. It keeps things orderly and the discussions on topic.

How many people come to the Beginner's forum for information and discussion on your day at the TOC (which has nothing to do with getting started in R/C)?

I am in agreement with Mike on this one. He is right, those looking for a quick search would find it easier looking in the related area. Although those last few words that mike stated, "but it isn't here" may have been a bit harsh, other then that I find nothing wrong with his statements.

Both were fine, TerrellFlyer. I didn't think my response was mean spirited or harsh, but apparently some of you do. There weren't any insults, unlike the PM's DESSERT RATT has sent me about this. The post is simply in the wrong forum, and one of the moderators should move it to the correct one.

I don't think so. Desert Mouse made a friend and reported his experiences here in the beginners fourm. This very positive experinece should be the norm and not the exception. Posting a positive expereince should be a part of this fourm.

Guys....does it really matter whether something is in the wrong forum or not?? :)

I loved the TOC. It was my first time there and it was amazing!!! There weren't that many crashes, and Jason Shulman (my idol!) had an excellent first freestyle on Sunday.
