Looking for a flying area
 

I am looking for somewhere to fly my nexstar but I really dont know where to go. i have been to the ama website but I can not reach any of teh numbers. For information I live in yorba linda california, 92887. Please somebody help me out. Also what do you have to do to be able to fly at any of the fields listed on that website. Sorry for being such a beginner.

Stunner, if you go to http://www.modelaircraft.org and click on the Club Locator, just Select California as the state, no zip. It will return with most if not all AMA Chartered clubs in CA.

You might try email over phone?. Also check out www.clubfield.com and http://www.rc-airplane-world.com/rc-...clubs.html#usa

illd try emailing as many of them as i could. maybe even put in there addy's on mapquest and go find them

A lot of people seem to change email addresses like socks. Club officers and contacts may change every year. Unless the club specifically contacts the webmaster to update its info on the locator, it doesn't happen. Chances are, half of the contacts on the search results are out of date.

If you don't have any luck by email but the club has a web site, try to find the field location and pay a visit.

About half the guys in our club don't even own a computer. About half that do own one only check email about once a month. Of course we have a few that are email fanatics.

Hop on out the 60 or 91 to the intersection of the 60 and 605 get off at Rosemead Blvd. and enter the Whittier Narrow Recreation area. This is the closest facility to you for Glow flyers. Its a public facility that requires only AMA membership to enter without a daily fee. No local club membership is required but recomemded if you expect to get help. The other nearest is located in the Prado Dam Rec area near Corona and the club is Corona something or ruther but can offer no contact info.

Actually the Narrows is probably the best bet for you.
