LOL! How dare I, right? We can't have newbies going off following the mfg (I don't wanna know if that stands for manufacturer or mf-ing ;)) instructions, now can we?

To which mod should I report for re-education?

Well, I had meant manufacturer but I guess the other could fit at times. No penalty this time as I am sure you won't repeat this tragic error. :D

RE: Breaking in an OS LA 40

Had the Stick out yesterday...flew the first couple of flights with the needle 90 degrees open from 'ideal', then leaned it 1-2 clicks and flew a couple more times...each flight the engine seemed stronger and more responsive, so it would APPEAR (to this newbie anyway) things are going as they should.

Plane flew well with the engine leaned out...I'd guess there's another 800-1000 RPM's in that engine once it's happily broken in, so it should return to being the real blast it was when the Magnum was on it. :)
