channel flags

I recently bought a transmitter from the rcuniverse classifieds. It came with everything exept there were no channel flags. I am talking about the things that clip onto your antenna that show the channel your transmitter is on. I just want to know if there is a place where you can purchase these items.

PM me your information and I'll send you mine for free. They're brand new still in the wrapper.

Your local hobby shop should have them. If not, try Tower Hobbies; but make up enough of an order to cover the outrageous shipping charges they assess.

If you don't need something fancy, use a small piece of white Coroplast(sign material). You can use a large marker for the numbers or cut out some vinyl numbers. Attach with small wire ties.

Do people still use those? I have a ribbon on my antenna for a wind indicator and the pin from the freq control board. That is all. Do people still use those? :D

I have a little plastic piece on the lower part of antenna with the Ch # 40 on it, plus my plane has decal stating Ch # 40.

Bruce,

That's exactly what I was talking about. :)
According to informed sources, the French white flag factory has burnt down, rendering their military paralized. :D They think it was an act of terrorism, so they increased their terrror alert from "Run" to "Hide." :D :D

Chad,

I've been seeing your posts everywhere and was wondering to myself if you were just trying to increase your post count. Then I noticed that you only joined 6 months ago and with nearly 2000 posts I KNOW you are just posting to increase your count. :D

Along the lines of freq flags, seems to me that their sole purpose is for another pilot to be able to tell, by glancing at THE FLIGHT LINE (not the freq board) who's flying which freq.

For this reason, I always use the freq flags on my radio, and also have my channel number on my hat as well.

/ya know, there's a REASON the leader of the Tour de France wears YELLOW, guys. ;)
//slashes are an excellent way to append afterthoughts to a post
///they don't really help increase your post count though.

I don't think Lance would like that idea.
