Ultracote Plus ?

Hi fellow modelers....I am familiar with Ultracote and Monokote but I have also heard of Ultracote Plus. I'm not sure what the difference is between Ultracote and Ultracote Plus? Thanks for your help.

RE: Ultracote Plus ?

Ultracote plus was used primarily as a trim material and for foam surfaces. It has a sticky backing and was easy to stick down and position on regular ultracote. You then used a warm iron to permantly seat it. The small 4" wide rolls of trim material they call Ultratrim is the same stuff. I don't believe Ultracote plus is still available but I may be wrong, I haven't seen it in some time.

Yeah, it was good for small trim; but large pieces? Forget it. VERY tricky to handle in large segments.

I haven't seen UltraTrim yet; sounds like a great idea.

Steve,
I honestly think what Horizon did was take the inventory of Ultracote Plus that was not selling, cut the rolls into 4" sections, repackaged it and called it Ultra-trim. Its the same stuff. I does work well for trim pieces, you just have to remember to seal it down with heat once its applied or it will lift on your first flight.
