Questions on a OS .25 FA

Anybody know anything about this engine? It is fairly old and I cannot find any manuals or anything. I have an electric Kadet that had a misfortune of a close encounter w/ a barn. It is fairly tore up so I am going to rebuild it an convert it to glow. I am hoping to use this engine but want to know more about it first. I am wondering it it would be too much power in that plane as well. Right now the plane weighs 22oz. without any engine or fuel tank. After I rebuild it I know it will weigh a bit more due to the ply I will use to strengthen the fuse and firewall.
Thanks

Well my mistake..no wonder I couldnt find any info...it is an FP not a FA!!! It is amazing how you can read engine markings once they have been removed from an origional plane!!!

I have a pair of 25 FPs that are still working hard. A good idea to use fuel with some Castor. the bushings like that.

I read someware that they recomend 20% castor oil for that engine. Do you think that will be too much engine for that plane or will it be all right?

RE: Questions on a OS .25 FA

I use Omega fuel. 20% half castor and half synthetic. Not familiar with the plane but 45 to 50 in span, beefed up firewall, undercarriage and wing centre section should work. Although one FP is in a 24 in. Coroplast Pizza box:D
