1 Attachment(s)
Hello,
what do you guys think of the .36NT Evolution Engine! I want to get one for a plane that is from the 70's...not sure what make/model it is but it had an old Enya .35 on it!
should that engine be OK for it? it's a 4channel!
i'll attach a photo of the plane i have!

thanks for the info...

yeah, i've tried a VERY old .35 O/S from 1966 but it doesn't run very well at all. always stalls, when running near top end. it starts and idles fine but not at high speed.

Try an idle bar plug if you are not already doing so on the old o.s. engine.

Just call me the idle bar kid!

yeah i've tried a few different plugs.... seems to make no difference. Although, when i change it out the engine runs well but then after it gets warms it fails again. i keep switching them around when one cools off and then it runs OK... strange isn't it!

thanks

RE: .36NT Evolution

The Evo engines are a mixed bag. Some run great out of the box. Some are reported to run great after the muffler is modified. For what you want I would suggest buying a Thunder GP42. It will be more reliable, less pricy to buy and give you more power. If you insist on the 36 size then I would look at the Thunder Tiger Pro36. But why spend more money for less engine if you don't have to?!?[8D]
