Yup, even I can do it... :)

Yesterday at the Screaming Eagles field in Plainfield, IN (www.screamingeagles.org) I soloed my NexStar. I have had great instructors and the members of the club are all supportive. I've been lucky.

I will fly her for the remainder of the year then next year slowly increase the throws. Depending on how I handle her I may move up to a mid-wing tail-dragger.

Lessons learned: Join a club, get instructors (yes, that's plural), take your time, pre-flight, safety first!

Great job on the solo flight. I can see in your picture that you have that silly little grin on your face. But don't worry about it, I had the same silly grin for 3 months after I soloed.

A solo flight is a great accomplishment and that wins you one genuine RCU ATTABOY (Suitable for framing, wrapping fish, or lining trashcans).
