for a while anyway. ive had some programming problems with my hitech optic 6. and ive also had some glitching. i think hitech has had some problems with some of there units. so i shipped it back to them to get software updates etc...hopefully ill get it back in a few weeks. better to wait a few weeks than to wreck a plane. has anyone heard of these problems with hitech?

had a friend who lost a plane but he was using an Eclipse. He claims a possible bad or poorly charged battery pack, not the Spectra frequency synthesizer module . Too many variables. I've been running a Flash 5, not as sophisticated but not a bad radio, with no problems. Safe rather than sorry is a good policy. Do every check and precaution that is suggested.

Sorry to hear about radio problems. This is the kind of event that causes me to recommend that beginners start with a basic 4 channel. If that fancy computer radio that they buy later has a problem, they can still use the 4 channel to fly something.

i had a 4ch that i got with my nexstar. but i sold it and the nexstar to someone else.

Bummer. Oh well, you can always use your spare time to biuld a few more planes. ;)
