Best trainer for the buck....
 

I'm thinking about buying a trainer...i'm not a begginer since i already have a 3D plane (wildcard)...I want this trainer because i like a practique plane that can take off in small places (like roads) and land smoothly.....i will present six planes and want you to tell me wich of them is the best.......and i want a little bit aerobatic plane...

Mine is near completion,
It has very good ratings as a trainer,
but Oh my GOD![X(] you got an airport there of models
my other trainer is a Hobbico Superstar 40

Avistar yeah, but for the buck? I would go for the trainer fomr tower hobbies. I had it, and i could do alot with it. Apart form smooth takes offs and landings, it provided me, ironically, with fine looking loops, rolls, and anything else, but now knife edge. IF you like something that flies smooth and lands better the na trainer, go for an easy sport. I ahve one, and cant stress how much better it is then my traienr.

Based on his list and location, I suspect he was looking for an evaluation of the ones available to him. I too like the Tower Trainer, or the Avistar, but their availability in Portugal is probably limited.

Jorge, I don't know about any of the planes you've listed. If you're looking for aerobatics, choose one with a semi-symetrical wing instead of flat bottom. Also look for one that's lighter in weight. And, when you assemble it, remove some of the dihedral in the wing.

Bang for you buck !! I would say World Models Sky Raider Mach I ... at $65 you can't go wrong ... or the Sky Raider Mach II ... I love mine, flies great !! cake to land and take off ...

Had a Thunder Tiger 40 for about 8 years. Smashed it, cracked it, plowed it directly into a forest only to have it hauled out by two girls who were doing God knows what in them there woods. They do not make the 40 anymore but I understand the 60 is still available. It repaired easily but wasn't too much in the way of aerobatics.

On just another note........although it's not on your list, I have a Tower Trainer now. The sucker banks left like there's no tomorrow. It's straight, true, and balanced to perfection, both front to back and side to side. I'm guessing the engine is out of kilter. It's cheap and it flies...that's all I care about.

Thunder Tiger 40 its a nice trainer, nice slow flight caracteristics.
GreatPlanes PT-40 is also a nice trainer:)
