RE: Is covering hard?
Thank you so much somegeek for posting those pics on how to cover the edges of a control surface. They will come in handy when I do my covering. Very much appreciated. Any more covering pics you can share? Such as doing the hatch, engine compartment and anything else you may have that would come in handy. I need all the pics I can get on how to cover. Thank you again.

RE: Is covering hard?
Thank you Ken, I have those saved on my computer and I am constantly studying them - although he makes it look so easy, I wish it really was that easy. But in time I am sure I will do just as good.
Unfortunately the link for video 1 is not working and keeps telling me it can not find that page. I will be studying those videos as much as I can, but I would also like some detailed still pics if anyone has them. Thank you again Ken and good nite for now ~ Steve ~ |
RE: Is covering hard?
He's right Ken, #1 not working. Not even in "save as" method. Others are OK.

RE: Is covering hard?
Tigerdude - I don't have any images of the covering of my hatch, sorry. My LT-40 build thread is linked below if you wanna take a look. Does show some order in the way the fuselage was covered.

RE: Is covering hard?
Is covering hard? Sort of like fly fishing. You can learn to cast a fly well enough to catch a fish in ten minutes then spend the rest of your life perfecting the art.
A better question may be is learning to cover worth the effort. If having a plane that you take pride in and one that stands out from the mass production stuff, Yes. If (horrors!) you have to repair it and wish to have the repair match the original, go for it. If you wish to advance to building your own models and enjoying the accompanying satisfaction, then covering is a necessary, and not very difficult skill. jess |
