Nose wheel
I have just bought two nose wheel arms and they just run straight after the coil both ends . What is the best way to bend the arm ? should i heat it ? or is there a simple and neat trick to this that i do not know about?

If I understand you have the control arm hitting the firewall,if so instead of the arm being even with the firewall, tighten it at a 45 degree angle from the firewall

I think you missed the point Terrell... He needs to bend a new gear to accept the wheel.
Assuming that you do not have a bender, Clamp the gear in a vise with the amount you want folded over sticking out the top. Now put a piece of wood against it and get out your trusty hammer. Don't heat it! That metal is tempered, heating it will make it soft, and you'll never get it back to it's original properties. |

Cheers mini Flyer i'll give it a try!

I am not sure what they are called. I have seen axle's that are held in place with a set screw. I would think this is a better method over bending. If you do not bend it exactly 90 deg from the coil you might have some handling problems

If needing the axle, both of the above methods work, the add on axle will give you the option of raising or lowering the wheel easier, and if you're asking about something else ?

Adjustable axles are a good solution and commonly avalible from Great Plains or Dubro. Just remember to file a flat on the strut where the set screw goes. They solve the problem of the formed axle's radius causing to wheel to set to far to the side and in some cases binding of the wheel.
