is it ok to use a digital servo (jr ds537) for throttle??

Yes, certainly. SOme use them because the precision makes for precise idle settings. When you return the stick to the low throttle position, you can be certain the servo is going to the same place every time.

I hope so.
I have been flying a cap for over a year with a digital on throttle.
Over 510 flights and no problems
