First plane under 200$?????
If you are wanting to go with a full 4 channel trainer type airplane, you'll have to go used to get under $200. It is possible to put a new radio and engine on a Spad http://www.spad.org for under $200, but you'll still need ground equipment, and there is a learning curve to building Spads. We've helped a lot of pilots in our area get started this way, and tell them they'll need at least a $300 bill to be fully equipped and self supported in the air and on the ground. This is with a basic 4 channel radio (non computer), low end engine and necessary items such as glow driver, starter/battery, fuel/fuel hand pump and spare props and glo plugs etc...

First plane under 200$?????
go electric, start with a parkflyer, BUT get a decent radio not something already put together and included, so that later you can transfer the radio stuff to a better plane.. the radio and electrics are gonna be about $125, then batt paks are another $25 for a couple, then another $50 for a plane with motor, this is all GWS stuff by the way, its how I started back, I quit for about 8 years, that.. and a batt charger is all you need $200,, I already had a charger ......just my .02,,,,,Rog
ps I am just now building my glow plane now, prolly wont fly it till spring <http://www.microrcflyer.com/main.htm>.... :p try here |
First plane under 200$?????
$300.00 for glo and $200 for electric is a fair estimation.
