Acoms Servos

Has anyone ever heard of Acoms? I found 4 Acoms servos on Ebay and I was wondering what you guys think of them. Are they garbage or decent for a trainer? I tried looking for a website but all I've found are some e-market sites.

Thanks for your time. :)

For a trainer huh well are you a beginner? Makes no diff I've never heard of them they may or maynot be compatable with your reciever. Servos just arent that much a flight pack is only a 100 bucks thats a reciever, battery, battery switch, and 4 servos.
Good luck

abraxas,
The very fact that you can't find a website for their manufacturer would worry me. All of the reputable companies on the market today have websites where you can find information on their products. You didn't say how much these servos were selling for, but you can get the basic model servos for any of the big radio makers out there (airtronics, futabe, jr, hitec, etc...) for approximated $10-$14 each. Trust me, that's not very expensive at all. My advice would be to leave Ebay alone and buy a name brand servo.

That's my 2ยข worth

I've got an Acoms radio collecting dust in my basement. My dad got it in a trade somewhere, and somehow it got handed down to me.

The Tx looks like a toy. My dad said he used this radio and it worked very well, but then my dad is known for continuing to use radios from the stone age (He even has some that are pre-1991 which he stuck a piece of gold tape to the back of, thereby making it "Gold Stickered" - I know... I'm hanging my head in shame).

Bottom line - pass on the servos. They may be ok to use on throttle, or flaps or something, but I wouldn't trust them for a vital flight control
