Battery placement
 

I am finishing the build of a Sig Midstar and it came out a bit nose heavy. I would like to compensate by placing the battery pack behind the wing under the the turtle deck. Will the fuselage high position of this much weight cause any problems or alter the flight of the plane? I am planning to use velcro to secure the battery pack to the fuselage. Has anyone who uses velcro had a battery come loose in flight? To be safe rather than sorry should I use another method to hold the battery securely?

the height shouldnt cause any problem. as for velcro if the battery is sitting flat ontop of something then velcro should be fine.... but if it is hanging then I wouldnt trust it as the constant pull will undo it eventually.

doublesided servo tape is a good way to go just make sure that both surfaces are clean.

And for safety's sake, use a big chunk of velcro.
