RE: Eagle 2
My friend has an eagle 2 and I use to have a pt40(very similar to eagle). We fly off of grass and when the grass was longer we had a hard time getting them off with 40's. So we bought 60's and put them in and after that wondered why we ever started with a 40. It is a lot of power for that airplane but so is 500hp for a corvette.
WE never had problems landing but we did need to extend the nosewheel up a little to run an 11inch prop. I would go with it and see what you get. If you don't like it then go spend the money on a new engine. Ryan |
RE: Eagle 2
I guess I dont understand why someone is willing to take the chance at ruining a new trainer and the radio gear for the sake of not spending 70 bucks on a new engine.
I'm working on an Eagle 2 right now, working on the wings, but have already purchased an OS .46 AX. Every post on here I have read says this is an excellent combo, the right mix of power and reliability for an outstanding airframe. I'm a rookie, so some might think I am speaking out of turn, but if it were me, I'd just do it right the first time. Best of luck, HH |
