RE: need muffler bolts

Its highly likely they will fit. You may need to cut them off a little? TT are generally copied after OS

Enjoy,

Jim

Thunder Tiger is one of the worst outfits to get parts from other than Norvell. The engines are great but their marketing policies stink. They normally do not talk to individual consumers. Their attitude is that you should go back to your dealer where you purchsed your engine to get the parts.

What dealer??? If you can find one, they are very helpful. But you didn't purchase the engine from a dealer.

Try this guy, he is a dealer and has been most helpful to people on RC Universe. This is his web site but it is not interactive. Get the phone number and call him or use his Email address.

Talk to Paul's model supply, he will take care of you.

I've been just going to the Hardware store to get the bolts. But I'm lucky to have such a store near my house.

Enjoy,

Jim

If all else fails, determine the size of the bolt (i.e. 2.5 mm, 3mm, etc ) and buy a length of fully threaded rod and some nuts. Double nut one end and solder the nuts and rod together. Cut for the length you need and then use a dremel and cut a slot IN THE TOP BOLT ONLY. You now have muffler bolts the length you need.

I did this in order to fit some muffler extensions to my engine. They work absolutely fine. Cost was about $6 for a 3' threaded rod and another $1.50 for a small plastic pack of nuts. $7.50 for a lifetime supply of muffler bolts in any length you need.

When I need bolts for TT or Magnum .25s, OS .40s & .46s or TT.46, I get all I need from any hobby shop which sells R/C car stuff. Metric, any size and length up to 50 mm.

I read this heading and chuckled...then realized I had read it wrong. For some reason I read it as Muffler Bearings. :D

Thought someone was yankin the chain.
