Hi, I'm new
Hi guys, I'm new to R/C planes. I have a Firebird XL which I have flown a couple of times. What do I do now? Do I join a club or what? Thanks for any help you can provide!

Hi, I'm new
Well first of all...congrats! This is one great hobby.
Yes, I'd look into getting around some guys who fly - and a club is the best route. That's the good news :) The bad news is your plane (Firebird) doesn't fly like most R/C planes! The majority of R/C trainers (for example) fly a whole lot BETTER than the Firebird :) So there...if you can fly the Firebird, you are a step in the right direction.... Jerry |
Hi, I'm new
Welcome to the Dark Side!
You are starting out just where I did in August! Have fun with the Firebird while it lasts, but don't spend any money on it when you bonk it. Find a club, RC guys are about the friendliest bunch of fellows you can ever meet. Pick thier brains a bit, get yourself a trainer airplane and an instructor and have a ball! |
Hi, I'm new
Ok, so I gather the Firebird isn't a great plane. Thats fine because I really bought it just to see if I was really interested in R/C planes. It seems pretty good fun so far, and I will try and find a club. Thanks guys!
