Are engine mounts universal?

I need to swap an engine on a plane. I am replacing it with a different brand but the same size, .61. What are the chances that I will be able to use the same mount and that the holes will line up?

Pretty good. A lot of the popular engines have similar mounting patterns. If not, you can drill new holes in the old mount. If the new engine is wider, you may have to file out the insides of the beams in order to fit the new engine.

You may want to buy a new mount also?

w8ye, Beat me to it, but check your LHS 1st save on the shipping. Not worth the shipping for an item that is so inexpensive to begin with.
