Battery help

Im a begginer. And I Bought a [link=http://1z64rw066822025162]Begin Air[/link] And I dont like the flight times with the stock
battery.
I have Been looking at upgrading to Li-poly packs. But then I have to buy a new charger and I dont really want to spend alot of money. So mabey I could buy More more ni-mh batteries or invest in li-poly. I dont Really know. I would like to know
what is best for a begginer with out spending over $60.

Thanks...

RE: Battery help

I am not familiar with you plane I will assume it is a brushed motor if it is smaller than a speed 400 and you do go to lipo I recomend a 2 cell the three cell lipos burn up the smaller motors pretty fast but with you price constraints (i feel you ) just stick wth a nicad but increase yoe mah Ie if you have a 800mah go to a 1500mah battery but dont forget to check your center og gravity it is very difficult to fly an out of balance plane. also when you make the plane heavier (larger batery pack etc you will have to fly it faster. Hope this helps.

RE: Battery help

I started with a GWS pico stick and no charger so I bought 4 battery paks and took all week to charge them on my wall wart trickle charger and flew all the paks on saturday morning at the school yard, then charge 2 of the paks to fly again sunday morning...Rog

Li-Pos arent worth the money yet , but they will be soon, in a year or 2 I imagine
