Radio Setup Help(please)?

I am fairly new to flying I have an electric typhoon 3d that I can somewhat fly but I am putting together my first ARF by myself is a Seagul PC-9. I just purchased a new used radio and servos an Airtronics VG600 I installed the servos in the wings and did a test on them prior to putting all of the other electronics into the plane. I am only able to get one aileron at a time to work. The plane has a servo for each aileron and I am only able to get one at a time to work, the only slot that it works in is the #2 slot in my receiver. Is there a setting I need to use to get both servos to work or could the receiver be broken?

Thank You for any help you can give,
Dave

yes, there is a setting that tells the transmitter to output two signals for two aileron servos. Often there is only one aileron servo, so most transmitters are set by default to only drive one servo. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with your exact transmitter, but somewhere there will be a setting. It may be called "flaperon". Hopefully, someone else will come in here to help...

Thank you I think your right , I am pretty sure there is a setting for flaperons. I can get someone out at the flying field to help me with that setting. I just was not sure if It might have been broken or not but after reading your post I do think its just the settings.

Aren't the ailerons by default on channel 1? The elevator on channel 2, throttle / speed control channel 3, rudder channel 4, landing gear channel 5, and flaps 6. I've only had to deal with 1 Aittronics receiver before, but if I remember right, it was the same as Futaba and JR
OOPS .... my bad ... the second slot is channel 1 .... duh ... first slot is the battery. If your radio is set up for flapperons, and you don't have the manual, plug one of the ailerons in the second slot and the other in the 7th (channel 6) and see if they work

On my Futaba radio I put one aileron in channel 1 & the other in Channel 6 (flaps). I then go into the flaperon setting & turn it on.

This may be a really dumb remark but...You did connect both servo's using a Y-Harness going to the receiver...?

Just checking.....

I have an Airtronics VG6000. I know how to do this for my radio, but am unsure if the VG600 works the same way. Johan Nl brings up a point. Generally there are 2 ways to do this. Plugging one servo into the Aileron receiver slot and one into flaps and mixing flaperons with the mixing options on the transmitter. The other is using a Y-connector. Plug both servos into the Y-connector and then the single leg of the Y-connector into the receiver's aileron slot.

Didn't the radio come with a manual? If not, ask the guy you bought the radio from to find it and give it to you. If it came with a manual, all this would be in there.

Actually I hope I don's sound stupid for admitting this but I did not even think of a Y-connector. That's the way I had it on my old trainer years ago. I just need to run out and purchase one. Thank You all for your assistance. Thanks Again
