engine for prop jet???

Hi i am fairly new to the hobby and i have received an f-20 tigershark prop jet from a buddy of mine and i ended up scoring an OS 40 FX MAX... My question is this......will this engine provide the power and performance for this jet or will it be somewhat under-powered?

Specifications

Wing Span 47"
Length 54"
Wing Area 535 sq. in.
Weight 5-6.5 lbs

"Fairly new to the hobby" and propjets are not a good mix. I have a friend who is not so new to the hobby who lost his almost new F-20 propjet due to pilot error. I don't think a .40 will be a good choice, it's going to be on the low side of the power requirements. Underpowered propjets are a stall/spin/crash waiting to happen.

Anyway, propjets are a wee bit past what would be considered a beginner's plane. The people who hang out in the "Extreme Speed Prop Planes" forum live and breathe this stuff, your question might be better posted there.

The only good and fast flying Patriot that I ever saw had a very expensive OS Max engine that was generally used for ducted fans. And it gulped the fuel dry in 4 and 1/2 minutes.
