i own a hangar 9 p-51 pts ad after i get good (only had it for a month maybe) but after i get pretty good do u think this would be a good one also how much do u think it would me RTF i like the 30% yak i just dont have that kind of money to prob plow right into the ground and would i prob need a new radio and other stuff like that my friend said i needed to get one with high and low rates but would you realy need it with this plane???

A 30% Yak needs big expensive servos, radio, and engine. Stick with a 40 size one first

If you crash the big one it will be devastating

Most of the very aerobatic planes are gentle fliers if the control rates are mild.

30%?!?!?!?!? dont run before you can walk... if you jump way ahead of yourself and your pockets arent deep you will get outta this great hobby.. the pts looks great but its still kinda like a flat bottom trainer... move up to the AVISTAR.. or tiger 2.. it will give you the aerobatic feel w/o the hefty price tag.... then youll get more and more planes and be broke and happy like the rest of us!:D

yea i know thats what i really want i like the bigger planes. what would be a good plane around 60 to 70 inches for a 2nd plane

Actually if you look at the link, it's actually an electric p-38. Either way its definetley NOT a good second plane.

thank you thats what i was asking not about the 30% which i know i would crash it before i get a new plane i want to get a 4-stroke for my p-51 a new radio and real flight so it'll be a while before i get a new one probably a year at the soonest

hi/low rate is a good idea on any sport model. On models that large you'll need a high end radio. You need to be able to mix duel elevators, expo is more useful in the larger stuff. Twin especially a 38 in any scale is more like a third twin. I though the point of the PTS is it your 2 planes. So this would be a third. 30% would be insane to do as a third model. don't even think of a twin of giant scale for at least a yr. Go for like a 60 sized cap or extra 300 suikoy or YAK. After that get a hobby co twin star to get acquainted with twins

you can get big enough gear for it to fly 50% of the big stuf on the market.

Neither the Yak or the P-38 are going to be good second planes. No matter "how much" you want to fly them you just aren't going to have the skills developed yet to fly planes like that. As it was said above, walk before you run. Get a 4-star or a Tiger II and fly the covering off of them, and then move up. If you want big then get a 4-star 120 size, it's a great flying plane!!
