SOLO FLIGHT
 

Went flying instead of mowing grass today. What a wonderful morning it was. Instructor took off first flight due to the wind but cut the embilical afte that. I think I have been ready for a while but just could not make myself do it. But today after the cut I made a few false approaches that looked good so on the next one just set it down. The first was kinda hard but no damage done. Soloed on next flight, landing was much better It was a great day at the field but now I got to mow grass.................mabey I could mow a strip in back yard say 20' wide and 150' long????????????

Congradulations!! I'm thinking 20X400 might be a better idea though.:D

Great job on the solo. It's a great feeling isn't???!! :D:D

A solo flight is a great accomplishment and that wins you one genuine RCU ATTABOY (Suitable for framing, wrapping fish, or lining trashcans).

Congrats!! It`s a milestone for sure! Have My " Attaboy " in a frame on the wall in the room where I keep my planes. I hope you have the good fortune to be associated with as nice a bunch of guys as I did in the club I soloed with. Now it`s practice, practice, practice and remember, ALTITUDE AND AIR SPEED ARE YOUR FRIENDS, particularly as a novice. Happy Landings!

Thanks guys. I think I'll frame it and smile every time I walk by it. Hope the wind isn't blowing to hard tomorrow !!!!!!!!

I think "Instructor" is too strong a word for me. :eek: I was just the guy lucky enough to get to watch ABELL solo. I know he has worked very hard at getting the basics down without slipping off into the crazy stuff too soon. I can't wait to see how he progresses now that he has his own wings. Truly worthy of the "ATTABOY" ABELL, Congratulations. :D
