Hobby-Lobby How-to page

Check out what it tell beginners at
www.hobby-lobby.com/howto.htm . This does not sound like good advice to me, particularly the part "You DON"T need an instructor".

Sounds like they are trying to get people to buy one of their easy to learn beginner trainer planes. The ones that are very easy to fly as they say. I am sure they are easy to fly but it would not hurt at all to have an instructor present at the time of the first launch.

Who knows if the wings are warped or if the trims are off a little. This would more than likely be hard for a beginner to correct the very first time flying.

I don't think this is good advice to give a beginner especially if they are looking to get in the hobby for a long time. Maybe for someone looking for a plane to play with and if it crashes no biggie.

I imagine they found that this is a much better way to sell RC airplanes. Imagine how many sales Hobby-Lobby would lose if they explained something like this: http://webhome.idirect.com/%7eironsidz/instructor.htm

Marketing 101.

Take care,
