Can I install Evolution Trainer Power System Engine in LT 40
 

Hello,
Can I install Evolution trainer power system engine in LT 40 ARF?
The reason I was asking because some ARFs come wiht pre-drilled holes in fire wall to accept supplied engine mount. Suppllied engine mount may not fit the engine I have.

My other option is to buy H-9 Alpha 40 since it comes with mount to accept Evolution engine. However, I prefered to get LT 40 but I am not sure if I can install Evolution engine. For now, I am stuck with this engine & do not want to spend money to buy another one...

BTW... Anybody has any experience with these engines???

You sure can. The Lt-40 is a great trainer and the Evo power system will be just fine on it

BTW, most any engine mount will work with the engine package. You do not need to purchase the mount they recommend. The fiberglass one that comes with the LT-40 works just fine. The only difference is you will have to drill the holes for the engine to mount to it instead of using the clamp on style they recommend

The Evolution mounting pattern is identical to the OS 46FX, which is identical to the vast majority of 40 and 46 engines, so I'd expect no issues at all.

really good motors. just dump the 3 blade prop and get a 2" spinner and 10x6 2 blade prop.
