There are several websites at which you can get replacements for under $30. Here are two of them

http://www.batteriesamerica.com

You can get connectors for almost any type of TX and solder them yourself. Your wall charger should work with any NiMH or NiCD battery, just check the wall wart and you will see the output voltage and Ma/Hr.

Batteries are getting cheaper all the time.

Good Luck!!

Man I hate to solder.
Then don't.
The batteries come with whatever connector you want. Just tell the guy over the phone what you want. Or check the appropriate box on the website order form. I've dealt with the guy at the link below and he's pleasant, knows what he's doing, and my orders have gone out the door that day or the next.... and shown up at my door a couple days after the call.

BTW, for a TX you might want NiMH batteries. The TX load is relatively steady and NiMH don't really need cycling and don't have the NiCd memory problem. But heck, talk to the guy on the phone about it. He'll give you good advice. But don't sweat what to ask on the phone. Wait for the order to get to you and read his enclosed information sheets. They cover it all.

I would contact Dave at Radical RC.
He is a great guy and sells an excellent product.
He will make your packs just for your application.
Just give him a call or order online.

RE: Recommend a Tx battery

I second Radical RC.

FWIW, NiCd batteries have a longer lifetime and are less expensive than NiMH. If you don't need the extra capacity that NiMH packs offer, I recommend you use NiCd packs. Typically I only get in about an hour of flying per field visit, so I get by with the plain vanilla 700 mAh NiCd packs.
