rechargeable alkaline batteries
I notice in forums that people talk about batteries that NiCad are only 1.25 and Nimh are also 1.25 volts
I do notice that I have some alkaline rechargeable batteries and there power output is 1.5 volts this would mean a 6 cell AA batery pack would be 9 volts and have more power than the rechagable 1.25 counterparts. Anyone tried to use the alkaline rechargeables instead of the others in and electric plane or something simular ?? |

voltage isn't that much of an issue in electrics, weight and amperage are much more important, and alkalines lose both those arguments really quick. (no where close to the capacity of good ni-mhs and heavier than nicads.)
Not to mention rechargable alkalines have a pretty limited life, ~50 cycles IIRC. |
