Is "loading up" normal?

I have a Tower hobbies .61 two stroke and after it idles for 15 seconds or so it hesitates a couple of times when I throttle up. Is this normal or am I running it too rich? Its a little unnerving on aborted landings but its never quit on me (I cant even get it to stop with the intake fully closed but apparently thats a Tower thing and another story). Thanks

your low end is to rich. When you engine is idling pinch the fuel line just before it hooks to the carb, if the RPMs increase your to rich. Close the low end needle just 1/8 of turn (the screw opposite the high end needle) and try it again. Keep doing this till the RPMs dont change and the engine quits then open it back up just a hair. Make sure your engine is broken in before you do this.

Ditto. Many ways to tune your low end and high end. The pinch test is probably the "easiest" way of tuning your low end. Do a search in the engine section for more info on tuning both ends. You'll be "loaded up" with tons of good info......... ;)
