Newbie engine question

I am just getting into RC airplanes and have an engine question. I have a two stroke .25LA OS engine and have been trying to break it in. I have run it about 5 or 6 times so far. I started it out very rich for the first 3 or 4 runs. It seems to be gaining in power and smoothness each time it is run now, but it doesnt seem to care for being run as rich as it first did.

Just wondering if this is normal for a break-in of this type engine.

Breaking in an engine can be hard on a glow plug. It could be that your plug isn't retaining heat as well as it did at first, and so the engine is getting a bit cold if you try to run it way rich.
Be careful about runnning it too rich. There are several threads on RCU about how to break in a taper-bore engine. The engine needs to get up to operating temp., or con rod damage can take place.

Actually, that sounds like a perfectly normal behavior for an engine as it breaks in. Once the engine starts to settle in, it won't like being run as richly as when it was new. It sounds like your .25 LA is breaking in nicely!
