Advice please
 

Returning to the hobby after many years I was, like a lot of people seduced by the PZ Mustang-After reading all the posts I realise now it was probably the wrong model to start on. My local club have kindly offered to give me some training but I wonderd if anyone could recommend an inexpessive 'trainer' that either has all the electrics compatible with the PZ transmitter as part of the kit (I'm not afraid to buld if that is less expensive route to ARF/RTF or could you list what I would need to put in a trainer? One of the reasons I was attracted to the Mustang was that the electrics could be used in another model. If this is so what would I need? Is it just litterally a matter of taking all the electrics out of Mustang and installing them in the trainer?
Any advice greatly appreciated-I really don't want to go out and smash this PZ Mustang up first flight (who does) plus my wife will say 'told you so!!'

I would guess the Parkzone electrics could be used in another model of similar size. Carl Goldberg and Great Planes have electric trainer ARFs in that size, like the Goldberg Eagle 400. They come with motors, but no radio gear, so they're in the $75-$100 price range.

I was just like you and got seduced by the parkzone P-51. Took it out and crashed it right on the launch. Anyway, after 9 or 10 months I am now a soloed Glow plane pilot. The equipment in the P-51 is very flimsy. They are just good for a ready to fly airplane. It's cheap electronics that really can't put into another airplane. I really hate that Parkzone advertises that you can take the elctronics out and use it something else. Get a "real radio system" and you'll be happy for the rest of your life.

Taught 4 people how to fly on the PZ Stang.

It is not traditional, however possible.

Fly it by yourself, yea, you will bust it up quick.
