Dave,
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if you glued it with 30 minute epoxy then it's pretty much going to stay where you put it. About the only way you're going to be able to get it off is take a razor saw and cut it off. Sorry for the bad news.

It may be better to leave it alone but I did here something about this very thing.
I was listening to a home improvement show last weekend and someone called in with epoxy on their porcelin shower and the answer given to remove that epoxy was oven cleaner. Don't know if it will work and should be tried on a couple of scrap pieces first.

If the piece is accessable, try heating the glue joint with a heat gun ( normally used to shrink covering). Heat and work the piece loose with pliars or similar. It may come loose quite easily. I have used technique several times with success.

Good Luck.

I would second Dave,s recomendation if you can lightly spray not soak the area with water so you don't burn your wood 30 min. epoxy requires a bit of heat.

RE: undoing glue!

I recently unglued a plywood firewall glued in with 30 min epoxy. I used a heat gun and a lot of patience. Once you get the epoxy up to about 400 degrees F, it softens and you can pull the joint apart.
