What is it ?
 

This is a new plane at our field and the owner said something about it , but I didn't
catch it all . He said Condor and about buying it in Canada.
I like to know were he got it from, and whats the name plane ?

Another thing that happen . The owner was just going to Taxi up and down the runway.
So he started the YS 1.? ,Master Air prop and the one of the guys said I'll check the rpm's
with my tach. He was checking the rpms in front of the plane when the PROP broke
and screw off the shaft at 9,000rpms and hit the tack in his hand. "Holy Cow-a-bonga" I said.
Here are the boys looking at the prop and the guy holding his broken tach. He sure was lucky
It hit the tach in hand and bounce off. He shouldn't of been in front of the plane in the first place.
Lesson learn and nobody hurt, So always stand behind the plane with engine running and
thats still not a Guarantee.

I was searching and I think its a Kondor Model Products ( Glasair )

Not quite sure what plane that is. The only thing I can think of that looks similar to that is the Lancair. The guy that was holding that tack, is a very lucky guy!!

Its a Cirrus SR-20 or 22. Its hard to tell what model and version it is (the G2's or the GTS's) since it has no markings on it. The full-scale usuallu have the model type and version painted on the tail.

Hope this helps! Personally, I think the Cirrus' are the best looking GA planes out there, and their cockpits are amazing too. Its good to see a model of it, though it seriously needs a paint job and N-number! ;)

Even if it's idling!!! I made the mistake ONCE(OK it WAS a bad habit) of reaching over an Idling saito 72 to pull off the glow driver... I reached at 12 inches of prop clearance... to bad I was running an APC 13x4W[:o] I have a couple of nice scars now... I was really lucky considering I missed the main artery in my arm by.. Oh bout 1/16 of an inch... I was 25 miles from the nearest hospital at the time... that would have been a FUN drive:eek:

Over the years I've seen some bad things happen to people playing with these "toy planes"... you either respect them or pay the price.

I hate to say this, but they are toys. Yes, they are very expensive and they can injure a person if misused, but when it's all boiled down to the bare bones they are toys. And we all go out to play with them. I'm not afraid to admit that it's a toy.

Safety Suggestion..

When you start and engine only stand in front of the engine until it starts. Once it is running AT IDLE walk around behind the engine to rev it up and remove the glow lighter. NEVER NEVER NEVER reach around the prop. Also, do not stand BESIDE the prop, EVER. Make sure no one else is standing beside the prop, even at a distance. I have seen an engine lean out and throw the spinner, and have the prop bounce off the ground and fly out as far a 50' with tremendous velocity. It can easily stab a person right in the chest, head, leg or wherever. Always be watching wherever you are flying and never hesitate to humbly intervene when there is a safety concern. Just be considerate but firm and approach the people with a genuine "wanting to help" attitude. Most guys will thank you if you approach them humbly and in a friendly manner. Those who take offense, oh well, they have been warned. If you are at your own club and this is a violation of a club safety rule, find the safety officer or a club officer and let them know if they wont listen to you. If theya re worth their salt, they will kindly intervene. [8D] No decent person is going to take offense to a person who is honestly attempting to protect them from harm.

Wow! Lucky guy... I have never thrown a blade or got hit hard but I stay behind the engine as much as possible... I have caught a knuckle but when you are behind the prop. it just smacks you- no lost digits and what-not ;)

I was gonna say that thing looked like a Cherokee or something but is has been id'ed looks like-
