Seriously... if you start with any of the planes you mention, you WILL crash, and you WILL quit the hobby. Please join a club, get a REAL trainer, and enjoy the hobby the way its supposed to be done! Thank you!

No, No, and sure. Those two planes are 3d. They are super aerobatic. Even if you dial down all the throws its still too much to handle. I would suggest a glow trainer although a electric one is ok. I'm sure someone else will have have a electric trainer recomendation. If possible get an arf so you can get a good radio. Oh and I'm sure that radio would be fine.

Sorry if I sounded a bit harsh on that last post. By the way, those planes you mention don't include an ESC or a reciever. The price will run you much more in the end, and you will regret having to buy replacement parts if (or when) you crash! Trust me, I started out the way you want to, and I did nothing but crash. I started out with the tricycle landing gear 28 glow engine high wing it was called the superfly looked goofy but man that thing
could rip up the sky wish I still had it. I never crashed it i let my wife fly NUFF said.

Sorrry but I have to go along with MikeG on this one. Those are not beginner planes & I doubt very seriously that either one would survive the first flight much less the first day.

The Spectrum radio you put up is a nice radio, unfortunately it is strictly a parkflyer radio. It does not have the range a regular radio does. If you were to buy that radio you would be committing yourself to parkflyer type planes only. Parkflyers are great but I certainly wouldn't want to limit myself to them.

I have some 3D foam planes along the lines of what you are looking at, & I can assure you they are not for beginners. Nor do they withstand much in the way of abuse. They break extremely easy.

If you really want to learn to fly get a Traditional type Trainer, a regular radio system, & most importantly a club Instructor. Join the AMA so that you will have liability insurance when observing the AMA safety guidelines, & any club will teach you to fly for free as long as you have your AMA. Joining the club later will have it's own costs & advantages of membership. Do it this way & before you know it you will be able to fly those kind of planes successfully.

Mike is right!!...I too am STILL a beginner...I would not touch the planes you mentioned as example.
I myself started with a Hobbico Nexstar.....awesome trainer. I started with many hours on the Aerofly Pro flight simulator....then bought the Hobbico Nexstar and maiden that one without a problem. Two weekends later I was solo....(knock on wood)..no crashes so far. I'm still flying the Nexstar...it is a nice, sturdy and quick plane. There are many similar models out, alike the nexstar. I am currently switching to a Twist 3D...but Mike is right...if you want to get serious with this wonderful hobby..take it slow....train with a trainer...get used to the control surfaces....so a 100 take offs and landings...then move on!!:D
