Find an Instructor in My Area
I'm ready with the plane and gear to start training but I haven't a clue how to find an area trainer or someone who is competent.
My brother self-taught with no help, but I doubt I have the patience to patch up the wreckage as I did when he was on the sticks and I was only watching. Whats the best online resource to maybe hook up with a good pilot? |
RE: Find an Instructor in My Area
Check out the AMA's charter club locator
http://www.modelaircraft.org/clubsearch.aspx Do a search for your area and then contact the clubs you find There is also one here on RCU but it's not as complete as the AMA one http://www.rcuniverse.com/community/...ype=instructor or The other option is stop by your local hobby shop (known on here as the LHS) and ask them. They are usually the best source for this information. I'd help ya but Bedford is 200 miles west of me (I'm out by Hershey/Harrisburg) |

RE: Find an Instructor in My Area
Hey Bedford! I'm just up the road in Altoona. I'm also a beginner I'm building a Kadet Seniorita. I know that there is a club in Altoona you'll find it on the AMA website. Good luck wiht the traiing. I'm still a ways off from my first flight.
