need help finding good c.g.

i have been flying for quite a while and built an off brand cap232. The problem I have is in the instructions they say the cg should be 30-40mm from the front edge but that would be 1.2-1.5" witch seems a bit forward.most instrutions say where to check the c.g. like at the fuse or tip, this does not. I have heard some opinions like 25% of cord and such is that true for low wing planes? this would be at 15%. I have it balanced at 25% and really do not want to have to add a ton of wieght since I am already at 2.3lbs with this .25 plane. any help would be appreciated.

WOw thanks man! that worked great turns out to be right where I have it set at. I knew 1.5" was way out of wack. It comes out to be 2.9"
