Question on wing.Keep together or take apart
I have 2 trainers here both a bit over 50 in wing span.
I just wanted to know how many decided to keep the wings as a one piece or leave them as take down 2 part  |

Question on wing.Keep together or take apart
Well...since nobody else is saying anything, I'll say this.
Am not familiar with the dowel and nylon straps to hold wings. If transport is not a problem for a 60" & 62" wing, I would epoxy them. (30 min. epoxy) |

As mentioned above, If transporting your plane with 60" of length is not a problem then I would Epoxy them and enjoyflying.

What they said. Epoxied together I bet you get more consistant flights.

What?
Trainers, High wings?
Why would you want two wing sections? I'd epoxy them together, unless you plan on joining them with the typical tubes that you see on larger low wing aerobats and what a pain that would be for hi-wing trainers. As mentioned above, unless your driving a Mini, you shouldn't have any problem transporting even a 60" ws aircraft in a VW Bug. Save yourself the trouble and epoxy those suckers together... |
Thanks to all who responded
Hi Gang, :D
Many thanks to all who responded to my question on keeping the wings epoxied together. Sounds like a very good idea to me also but wanted some input. Many thanks :D |
