RC-56 ?
Is RC-56 available, if so, where can I get it? I live many miles from a hobby shop so I do most of my buying thru the mail. I live near two national chain craft stores.
If it isn't made anymore, what is a replacement for it? Thanks, Jerry |

RE: RC-56 ?
Are you talking about canopy glue?
Here is what I am using but I can't compare it http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...ue&FVPROFIL=++ RC-56 is listed here, at the bottom of the page http://www.hobbyoutlets.com/j_z/ |
RE: RC-56 ?
I have bought both the RC56 and the Pacer 560. As far as I can tell, they are both the same stuff. I just bought what was available at the time. Great stuff because it comes out white so that you can see where it is going and it dries to a clear finish. Don't expect a quick dry time. The stuff takes overnight to dry if you have a thin layer and may take a day or 2 if you are using it to fill in larger gaps. Once its dry it sticks great and stays flexible. I use it to stick small pieces of fuel tubing to the sides of the fuselage on my planes to run my antenna wires through. I also use it to hold balance weights in place both in the wing and in the nose or tail if needed.

RE: RC-56 ?
A friend of mine put me on to a Pacer (Zap) product called ZAP-A-DAP-A-GOO and I like it much
better that the 560 canopy glue product. It stays pliable and you can scrape any squeeze out with a plastic item like a credit card or even your fingernail. Andy |

RE: RC-56 ?
Any of the excess glue that squeezes out of the joint can also be wiped away with a wet paper towel.
IT'S AWESOME STUFF !!!!! Gluing canopies used to be one of the worst tasks in airplane building. Now it's the easiest. By far the easiest. Amazingly easy. |
