H9 Easy 2 first flight easy!
 

I was not able to wait any longer and I flew my Hangar 9 Easy 2 by myself. I know, I should have seeked help from an intructor. But I must say, that it was not as hard as I anticipated. On New Years day I made my first flight, with no real problem. That is to say that I took off and landed ok. Two more flights followed with no mishaps. The Easy 2 is a great flying trainer. I think the last month or so on the G2 sim has been key to my success. No way do I think I have a handle on it, but my confidence in(my thumbs) myself and enthusiasm for the hobby got a big boost. For anyone starting out, get the G2 simulator. It will be money well spent. The H9 Easy 2 trainer is also a good consideration for a first plane. A complete plane, sold as a VRTF, and there is very little pre assembly. Required no trimming to fly straight after completion. I'm flying mine with a TT GP 42 and it seems to do just fine.

How about G2 lite?
 

Congrats!!! I haven't been up yet and I can't wait! You know you better not show your face in the crash section here at RCU or you will get blasted with "I told you so". LOL

I'm in deep already and don't want to spend $250. How about the G2 lite (mode 2?) for $150? I haven't finished my trainer yet. I have to add some weight to the tail and right wing to balance it first, and get something to put fuel in it then I'm ready. I've kept it unfinished so I wouldn't do something like you did. I probably won't be as successful. I've been messing with the FMS for a few weeks but I only use the keyboard, not very realistic.

Congrats on your solo.....I too like the Easy 2 - as long as the engine would consistantly run - which some days it did!

Get the photo holder, it's a blast trying to take of pic of yourself while doing a fly-by...

i paid 180 for my G2 real flight sim...not the lite either...got to luv LHS with discounts...woot. FUN PROG and definately helps. WOrth the cash when you need to practice and can't get out.
