A Battery
 

Recently, a person at my field showed me a very small battery. It was about 1" by 1 1/2". It was a NiMh, its capacity was 700mAh, and I believe it was 4.6v.

2 questions come with this post.

First off, how long will I be able to fly my Twist 40 (8 channel Futaba Rx and 5 S3001 servos)?

And secondly, I have been looking all over for the manufacturer of these batteries, or where I could buy one, to no avail.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Is this something like you are looking for?
I use one of these in my Magic to save weight.
Never ran it down to see how long it would last, I usualy only fly a couple flights and go home.
It should last as long as any other 650mAh battery.

I have a couple packs similar to what you described. I only use them for applications which would use lower current. These include a .15 size plane, and one of my smaller, slower boats. I would not use it on a 5 servo .40 size plane, the current draw may be more than the battery can provide. In this size I'd go with larger capacity, such as 1500 mah or more.

Well, I have a 6.0v 1650 mah NiMh but it makes the servos a bit jittery, so right now I have a 1000 mah 4.8v NiCad but I saw his small pack and how much less it weighed, so I was seeing if it would work well.

The jittery is normal and will go away after the batteries begin to drain. Not sure, but I was told that this is because the voltage, 6 volt 5 cell pack, is right up where the receiver is saturated but deminishes real fast after hookup. I use 6 volt 5 cells on just about everything but my small aircraft. More torque and faster response. I also use larger size batteries, two 1500 mah NiMH's in one of my planes, my Venus II. Others have one large 6 volt pack.
